    Hello,
My name is Yuliana Lugo and I recently graduated of Chemical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez.. I’ve been looking for a full time position but so far haven’t got any luck. However, the main reason of not obtaining a job is that I only applied to companies where I believed were environmental conscious. Unfortunately most of the companies doesn’t care too much about a green environment and pollution control and the harms that we are causing to our beautiful world. I haven’t heard much about the Apollo Alliance but all my years as a student I always wished of a green job. And by that, I mean a job where I can feel that I’m applying my knowledge to improve a process or project related to chemical engineering for the benefit of our world. Apollo is a wonderful alliance and a wonderful opportunity for people like me who are interested in working in a real job. I believe that is time that we care about our world, and less about only making money at any cost . If this alliance can help me find the job of my dreams, I would appreciated greatly, and with a lot of enthusiasm, deal with environmental issues such as energy and waste treatment. I believe that we have to start now and with the help of President elect Barack Obama I have faith that we could improve the green energy and enhance new strategies that are more environmental friendly. Also I would like to now if there’s a way I could go to the National Conference and learn more about it and look for jobs that are related to what I need.

Thank you and Happy New Year!!
