May 6, 2009: Consternation Crops Up Over Yesterday’s Ethanol Policy Activity
An E.P.A. draft rule that includes indirect land use changes to calculate ethanol’s greenhouse gas emissions is winning no fans in the ethanol industry. “Corn-based ethanol is a bridge…to the next generation of fuels,” said head E.P.A. administrator, Lisa Jackson.
