Development Associate
Apollo Alliance is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented go-getter to join our development team. Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Development Associate will be integral to the launch of our development program, will manage development operations, and work with the Deputy Director and Co-Director on fund development and donor stewardship.
The Apollo Alliance Development Associate will create systems, implement and manage many day-to-day operations of the organization’s fundraising and stewardship programs with individual donors, foundations and corporate sponsors. Duties include: research; tracking activities; writing grants, reports, correspondence, and other content; assisting donors; organizing special events; supporting board members’ peer-to-peer fundraising; supporting online fundraising campaigns; overseeing the donor database tracking, lists and reports; implementing appeals and mailings; and other tasks and duties as needed.

• Ability to multitask and finish multiple projects on time and often under tight deadlines;
• Ability to work with grace under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
• Outstanding organizational skills and experience in systems creation;
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills;
• Experience in and knowledge of grant procurement practices and principles;
• Assiduous attention to detail;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with a variety of personalities and situations;
• Strong computer and database skills, and experience managing development databases, ideally including salesforce.com;
• BA or equivalent, and 3-4 years of relevant development experience required, preferably in fields related to Apollo’s mission
